Like many healthcare providers, CentraCare understand that emergency departments are not always suitable spaces for receiving those in need of mental health services. To address this, at their St. Cloud Hospital based in Central Minnesota, CentraCare created a dedicated Emergency Psychiatric Assessment, Treatment and Healing (EmPATH) Unit.
This new space transitions patients away from busy, noisy emergency departments into a calming, welcoming environment where a multidisciplinary team of specialists are on hand to assist those who are in need of mental health services.
Within this large open space surrounded by an observation station and brightly coloured murals on the walls, our heavyweight Cumulus Plus dining tables were selected to offer a stable and robust dining solution. Strong steel bases are combined with heat and impact resistant laminate table tops help ensure the tables are hard-wearing and durable as well as being easy to keep clean.
