Set in 260 acres of parkland in Surrey, Royal Alexandra & Albert School is a boarding school that caters for around 450 full boarders and 550 “flexi boarders”.
During a recent refurbishment of their common rooms, the School needed furniture which would be flexible enough to suit the needs of the students while standing up to the rigours of everyday life.
Magna sofas were selected due to their fixed cushion design which helps to maintain an overall neat appearance and were specified with plywood reinforced seat platforms to ensure long-term durability.
Boden beanbag chairs offer flexible informal seating which can easily be moved around the TV during film nights, and tidied away in the interim.
For dining tables and chairs, the School selected Cumulus tables and Touch chairs for their modern design and easy to clean nature.
The upholstery and finishes were carefully co-ordinated to compliment the School’s colours, resulting in a modern space which fits perfectly within the rest of the school.
