Ruby Ward is a 16-bed mental health inpatient unit for older adults in Maidstone, Kent. This new purpose-built facility replaces and relocates an existing ward as part of a national program to remove dormitories from mental health accommodation.

Dementia-friendly features like colour-coded doors and signage was designed to allow patients (some of who will be diagnosed with dementia) to navigate easily through the building and garden spaces.

Ryno dining chairs and Club chairs provide robust and comfortable seating in the dining area, combined with Cumulus tables with warm wood-effect tops. Ryno products are virtually indestructible thanks to their single-piece construction, and can be heavily weighted to prevent them being picked up. Purl low and high back chairs in fire-retardant vinyl upholstery provide versatile soft seating throughout the unit.
