Ridgeway, Roseberry Park is a 312-bed inpatient complex providing Adult and Forensic (including Learning Disabilities) Mental Health Services, designed to provide “revolutionary care in a home-like environment”.
Roseberry Park has a philosophy of care, and its focus revolves around recovery. Pineapple was chosen to provide a range of furniture options that provided strength and security whilst avoiding an institutional feel.
The redeveloped space is light-filled and clean with upholstered seating providing accent colours in cool greys and calming blue tones. Within the communal spaces our Snug Plus modular sofa range was chosen to promote social inclusion , and like all of our Plus ranges, features additional reinforcement for added strength, durability and security. Fixed cushions deter misuse and reduce concealment opportunities and the sofa ranges low overall height provides clearer sightlines and aids in staff observation.
Products from our Cumulus table range were used throughout the project, from coffee tables to dining tables. Cumulus’ smooth rounded corners and heavy solid steel base with security fixings make it an ideal choice for challenging environments.
Ryno dining chairs were specified as a heavy weight dining solution. Ryno products are made from an anti-microbial polyethylene material which are easily cleaned and dried, ready for re-use. Strength and stability tested to withstand 500kg static load, and are heavily weighted to deter mishandling. Xeon chairs have been used in kitchenette areas, they offer a strong yet lightweight, easy-to-clean seating solution that can be easily stacked away when available space is minimal. Available in bright Red and White Gloss options, they add a striking pop of colour to any space, indoor or outdoors.
Tempo Plus provides further seating options, giving patients the choice of interaction with Snug or private contemplation with Tempo Plus. Tempo’s curved back design offers comfort and support to the user and a fixed seated cushion as standard prevents misuse. Oskar high back chairs have been used in the reception/waiting rooms. Oskar’s strong laminate frame and curved one-piece back and seat offers excellent lumbar support. Its attractive, contemporary styling ensures this product would not look out of place in a residential setting.
