This month, we were proud to exhibit at the Healthcare Estates event, the UK’s leading event for healthcare engineering and estates management professionals. Held at the iconic Manchester Central, the event brought together experts from across the sector to explore how thoughtful and innovative design can improve wellbeing, safety and care outcomes.
The event offered a platform to connect with industry professionals, engage with clients, and share insights on how our specialist lighting and washroom solutions are helping to create safer, more therapeutic environments for mental health settings.
At this year’s event, we were delighted to showcase our Arc washrooms and Fynn reduced-ligature lights, both designed to balance safety, functionality and aesthetics in challenging environments.
One of the highlights of the event was an insightful presentation by Michelle Blackie, co-presented with Jessica Ellis from Stride Treglown, titled ‘Bridging the Gaps: Enhancing Mental Health LD Unit Design’.
Together they explored our collaboration on the Dan Y Deri Learning Disability and Challenging Behaviour facility in Swansea, highlighting the unique challenges of LD facilities, which require environments that can withstand repetitive, enthusiastic, and sometimes aggressive use. Pineapple is working with Stride Treglown to create a therapeutic, homely, and inspirational space that is also robust and safe for both patients and staff, showing how thoughtful furniture and design choices can make a real difference.
A big thank you to everyone who visited our stand, spoke with our team and shared your insights and experiences.
